At a time when Chennai and many other parts of India are gearing for a lockdown to fight Covid-19, a small pack of stem cells harvested from a Kerala-based teen will give a new lease of life to a blood cancer patient living in Chennai.

Doctors will bring the blood stem cells of an 18-year-old student of St Teresa’s College from Kochi.A DATRI staff, who is confirmed infection free, will be ferrying the cells from AIMS hospital in Kochi to a city hospital by road..
