World Cancer Day 2021
I Am And I Will

Every year all around the world, 4th February is celebrated as World Cancer Day. It was created in the year 2000 and has grown into a positive movement, uniting people as one voice to face one of the most significant challenges. Over a while, hundreds of activities across the globe have been organized amongst communities, organisations, individuals, schools, businesses, hospitals, to name a few, and this has acted as a potent reminder that we are all part of a bigger picture, that of reducing the impact of cancer globally.
In our country, every 5 minutes, somebody in India receives the shattering news of Blood cancer, Thalassemia, or Aplastic Anemia. Most are children and youngsters, and the only shot they have at recovery is through a Blood Stem Cell Donation.
The theme for this year’s World Cancer Day is, “I am and I will” This statement reflects on our ability to reach out and commit to act as a lifesaver. It is a conscious decision that each individual can make, “I am capable of saving, and I will save,” that will make a difference in the life of the one who has cancer.
DATRI Blood Stem Cell Donors Registry is the pioneer in Blood Stem Cell Donation and is India’s largest registry with more than 4 Lakh donors. Any healthy individual between the ages of 18 and 50 can register as Blood Stem Cell donors with DATRI and potentially become a lifesaver when they’re found to be a match for a fatal blood disorder patient.
Remember. Blood Cancer is curable, and YOU can be the cure! So why wait? Register yourself or contribute towards this cause
