Three-year-old Izhaan is from Madhya Pradesh. He loves football, Cocomelon, bedtime stories and vanilla ice cream. He dreams of going to school, making friends, and discovering the world around him. But today, his family is waiting for something that could change everything — a matching blood stem cell donor.
Izhaan is living with thalassemia, a blood disorder that means he needs regular medical care and blood transfusions. Each transfusion can take around half a day — precious hours that a little boy should be spending playing, learning and being with his family. While other children are spending those hours playing and learning, Izhaan is often waiting in a hospital.
His family is by his side. But they need a stranger’s help.
Izhaan is surrounded by a big, loving family. His parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins are there for him through every difficult day. They can give him love, hold his hand, and sit beside him through every hospital visit.
But they cannot give him a matching blood stem cell. His family has no suitable match, so now, they are hoping for someone they have never met.
