I’m Veer, I’m a 3 year old kid who needs a Bone Marrow Donor to permanently cure my fatal disorder. Will you please help me find one?

People know me as a cheeky, happy go lucky boy, with a really energetic personality. I bring a lot of joy to all those around me and hope to do so for many years to come. But my recent medical diagnosis has turned our happy world upside down. We have learnt that I have inherited a genetic illness called Fanconi Anaemia.

Although I might look healthy visibly, my bone marrow is not functioning well. My blood counts are dropping and very soon I am going to need a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, my sister Suhani is not the bone marrow match we were looking for, so my hospital has begun the search for a match in the national/international marrow donor registries. We have our fingers crossed that I will find a match soon!

This is where YOU can help me! In India the Blood Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Donors are very less compared to the increasing number of Blood disorder patients. To give me a chance to find the best match, I need as many people as possible to get registered. So please don’t delay! ACT NOW!

YOU could be the ONE who can help me survive!

If you think you might be the ray of hope for Veer and want to gift him a life (and others in need of a bone marrow transplant), you can get registered with DATRI as a Bone Marrow/Blood Stem Cell Donor. You can register online through the below link. All you need to do is swab your cheek in the comfort of your own home, and then you send the swab back in the post. That’s it! No blood tests required!

If you wish to organize a Registration campign for Veer in your college, organization, place of worship, community, local area or beyond,  please get in touch with Gayathri Shenoy (+91 910 879 2147)

Registration Details:

Age Limit: 18 to 50
Contact Person: Gayathri Shenoy
Contact Number : +91 910 879 2147
Registration Cost: INR 1800 (HLA Typing)

Once you have registered, you can be matched against any patient (Globally) in need of a Bone Marrow/Blood Stem Cell Transplant. If you are a match, you will have the rare opportunity to save a life. Please note that blood group is not a factor in the matching process, so even if you have a rare group, get yourself registered. If you are a match, rest assured that the process to donate your bone marrow is relatively easy too. Although it is called a transplant, it is nothing like an organ transplant. In fact, for the vast majority of donations, the process has more similarity to blood donation. There are many donation centers all around India. Any costs incurred will be fully reimbursed.

Please help us spread Veer’s story by sharing this information far and wide with your family and friends.
