DATRI, India’s largest blood stem cell donors registry, has sucessfully completed facilitating over 150 unrelated bold stem cell donations, on road to transforming lives of patients suffering from blood cancers and other fatal blood disorders
Dr Revathi Raj, Senior Consultant, Paediatric haemato-oncologist at Apollo Speciality Hospital and Dr Lakshman, Senior Consultant, Haematology, Apollo Speciality Hospital , with Haribabu, who donated blood stem cells for a blood cancer patient on World Cancer Day in Chennai.
Over 200 donors turned up for a unique cause in a bid to help a non – resident Keralite batting blood cancer in Australia. DATRI, a Chennai based organisation promoting blood donation, organised the first ever blood stem cell donor drive, to help Sujith Nayar along with other persons with blood disorders, to meet their matches.
